Scandinavian animal ornamentation leads to award
Michael Neiß, Ph. D student at the department is awarded Svenska fornminnesföreningen's Mandelgren award for his research on Scandinavian animal ornamentation.
Michael Neiß has been awarded the prize for prominent work in documenting Swedish art from the Vendel Period and Viking Age.
The award ceremony will be held on April 27 at the Medeltidsmuseet, Stockholm, with Michael Neiß giving a lecture, open to the general public.
