Wehlin, Joakim

MA from Gotland University in 2006. PhD from University of Gothenburg in 2013 with the dissertation Baltic Stone Ships – monuments and meeting places during the Late Bronze Age. After my doctorate, I have been working as contract archaeologist and curator at the County museum of Dalarna. My present research focus is on Early Metal Age (2000 – 0 BC) in forested central Scandinavia. At the moment I lead the three-year project Ohtsedidh - Sámi expressions of culture in central Sweden. In addition to this and as coordinator for research at Dalarnas Museum I argue for the importance of research for county museums.
